Commitment description:Jordan continues to implement policies, strategies and national plans to invest in the demographic dividend outlined in the Population Opportunity Policy 2017, its National Plan for Follow-up and Monitoring; Jordan's Vision 2025; and the National Strategy for Human Resources Development 2016-2025. These planning frameworks aim to provide supportive social insurance services; achieve universal health insurance by 2030, and provide funding opportunities for pilot projects to reduce unemployment to less than 10% by 2025; increase enrollment ratio to 30% in 2025, encourage and provide financial and technical support to self-employment projects and business incubators; link educational outputs to labor market needs; empower women; and ensure their access to universal and equitable rights, especially enhancing their economic participation to reach 24% in 2025 by providing a supportive environment.
(8) Investing in the education, employment opportunities, health, including family planning and sexual and reproductive health services, of adolescents and youth, especially girls, so as to fully harness the promises of the demographic dividend.
