Commitment description:Jordan affirms its commitment to reducing maternal morbidity and mortality through analyzing and responding to their causes based on the information of the National Register, the provision of programs and services, and their integration into national strategies, policies and programs to ensure comprehensive health coverage as encapsulated in the National Strategy for Sexual and Reproductive Health (2020-2024), and the cost-effective implementation Plan for Family Planning (2020-2024).
Address gender-based violence and the harmful practices of child, early and forced marriages and female genital mutilation(5) (a) Zero sexual and gender-based violence and harmful practices, including zero child, early and forced marriage, as well as zero female genital mutilation; and (b) Elimination of all forms of discrimination against all women and girls, in order to realize all individuals’ full socio-economic potential.
