Commitment title:

Awareness Raising Pilgrimage Across India

Commitment description:

Building off our Guinness World Record in partnership with UNICEF of having the most number of signatures on a flag in which hundreds of thousands of people committed against early childhood marriages, GIWA commits to continuing our advocacy and behavior change work across all issues related to gender discrimination. Our efforts in this field are primarily focused on empowering women and girls. This includes calling for gender equity, eliminating gender-based violence of all forms, ending early and forced childhood marriage, and removing stigmas and taboos related to reproductive health and well-being for women and girls. To this end, GIWA commits to a Pilgrimage across India to raise awareness on these issues and to empower and uplift women and girls, at the village level across the country.
