"Action with Women and Peace" Initiative
Commitment description:Addressing sexual violence in conflict is a step forward towards zero sexual and gender-based violence.
As two pillars of Korea’s new initiative “Action with Women and Peace,” Korea convened the first international conference to discuss issues including sexual violence in conflict and has been supporting projects by UN agencies and KOICA that address the needs of women and girls in conflict and post-conflict situations.
Korea will continue such efforts by preparing for the next annual international conference and further supporting development and humanitarian assistance projects.

(5) (a) Zero sexual and gender-based violence and harmful practices, including zero child, early and forced marriage, as well as zero female genital mutilation; and (b) Elimination of all forms of discrimination against all women and girls, in order to realize all individuals’ full socio-economic potential.
