1. Distribution of minimum reproductive health service package in all secondary and technical schools
Commitment description:The Mozambican Government commits to ensure the achievement of universal access to sexual and reproductive health services, by distributing quality and safe long term modern contraceptive methods, information and education in all secondary schools. To that effect, the health and education sectors commit to expand the percentage of secondary and technical schools which provide a minimum reproductive health service package from 30% in 2019 to 100% in 2030.
Mode of engagement:
- Programmatic actionThis commitment will be achieved by promoting the use of modern oral and barrier contraception methods through mobile school brigades involving trained teachers and young people already trained in SRH to advocate for the use of these methods.
(4) Access for all adolescents and youth, especially girls, to comprehensive and age-responsive information, education and adolescent-friendly comprehensive, quality and timely services to be able to make free and informed decisions and choices about their sexuality and reproductive lives, to adequately protect themselves from unintended pregnancies, all forms of sexual and gender-based violence and harmful practices, sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS, to facilitate a safe transition into adulthood.
